Alignment options

The alignment of an object/element can be done in three different ways, meaning they can behave in three different ways according to the page or screen. This article will explain the differences between them.

Free positioning

Place the element and move it to its desired position on the canvas. The element will now stay fixed in that position, regardless of the size of the screen. This can be done by selecting the Free position option in the positioning menu of the object configuration panel on the right side of the editor. Next, either drag the element to its desired position, or put in numerical values in the positioning menu to perfectly position your element.

Page border

This option will align your element according to the edges or center (depending on the arrow options you choose) of the screen it will be viewed on. This results in the element not always being in the same position as other (freely positioned) elements, when the publication is being viewed on different screen sizes.

Sticky

The sticky option is only available for longpages, and can be used to stick an element to a certain position on the screen. This means that, when the viewer is scrolling vertically through the page, the element will always stay visible and stuck to its designated position.
