# Blendmode

Each element on the canvas can be extended with a 'blend mode' effect. You can find this effect in 'effects' panel.

Keep in mind there are some limitations using blend-mode. The hierarchy of layers used in the Pro editor can cause issues when:

* A mask is used
* An element with blend-mode is grouped
* A mask animation is used

Best is to only use the 'blend-mode' on non-grouped elements placed on the root of the canvas.
