# Element effects

Effects can be used to make your element stand out a little better or to make it interact with the viewer's behaviour. These effects can be added and configured in the **effects menu** in the **object tab** of the **configuration panel** on the right side of the editor. You can add multiple effects to a single element.

Select the type of effects you would like to add and configure them through the **wrench** icon. This will open a small window in which you can configure the effect further.

An explanation of the effect types is described below:

*   **Shadow**: adds a drop shadow behind the chosen object. You can then edit the shadow intensity, positioning, color and blur settings.
*   **Text Shadow**: this is similar to shadows, but will only affect the text shadows instead of objects.
*   **Black and White**: this will change the colours of the objects to Black and White(Grayscale).
*   **Blur**: this will add a blur to the object, making it appear less sharp.
*   **Cursor/Gyroscope**: this effect allows the element to react to the movement of your cursor. Set the sensitivity for the horizontal or horizontal axis. The higher the number, the greater the movement. A negative value causes the element to move in the opposite direction.

|| Note: for mobile devices, where there is no mouse available, the effect reacts to the Gyro sensor inside a tablet or smartphone device. So when moving your tablet you can see the elements with their different set-up speeds moving.
