# Switch publication type

If you aren't happy with the type of publication you have chosen, it's possible to change this to any of the other publication types. [Click here for more information on publication types](/en/article/choosing-publication-type-1x7p2eb/).

To switch publication types, go to the **page overview** of your project and select **project settings** in the left panel. In the window that opens up, click **publication type** and select the type of publication you would like to convert your project into. Click **save** to apply your changes and convert the project.

|| Note: when you want to change a project to a different publication type, the URL structure may change. This action cannot be reversed. After converting the publication type, the project will be placed in a different category.
