Update fonts

The "Replace font" popup in the editor replaces a font, or one style of a font, on every element of the current page at once. Open it from the M menu: go to Fonts and click Replace fonts in page.

Replacing a font on a page

To replace a font on the current page:

  1. In the editor, click the M menu in the top-left corner.
  2. Go to Fonts and click Replace fonts in page. The "Replace font" popup opens. The left column lists every font used on the page, with the styles (for example Normal or Bold) used under each font.
  3. In the left column, click what you want to replace:
    • the font name, to replace that font in all of its styles, or
    • one style under the font, to replace only that style.
  4. Under "Replace with", choose the new font in Font. If you selected a single style, also choose the new style in Style.
  5. Click Replace font. The notice "Selected font has been replaced" appears.
  6. Close the popup and click Save to keep the change.

When you replace a whole font, each element keeps its style in the new font, for example Bold text stays Bold. If the new font doesn't have that style, the closest available style is used.

The replacement applies to every element on the current page that uses the selected font or style, including:

  • the desktop and mobile layouts
  • hover states
  • drop caps
  • fonts applied to only part of a text

Other pages in the project are not changed. The replacement is not kept until you save the page.

Replacing a missing font

A font or style that is no longer available on your account is marked "Font missing" or "Style missing" in the "Replace font" popup. When you open a page that uses a missing font, a "Font missing" bar appears with the message "Replace the missing font with an alternative".

To replace a missing font:

  1. In the "Font missing" bar, click Replace. You can also open the popup from the M menu: go to Fonts and click Replace fonts in page.
  2. In the left column, click the font or style marked "Font missing" or "Style missing".
  3. Under "Replace with", choose the new font in Font, and the new style in Style if it is shown.
  4. Click Replace font.
  5. Close the popup and click Save to keep the change.

Does Replace font change my style collection?

No. Replace font changes the elements on the current page, not the styles in your style collection.
