When you are creating and editing a project for a Printable Publication, it is possible to show or hide elements in the editor. Hiding elements in a publication, while editing, can be helpful for when you have a lot of content on a page and you want to focus on one specific object. But the foremost reason is the ability to hide elements on your page specifically when you are in PDF / Print View.
Hiding an element
While in Print View, you can hide an element simply by clicking on the element in the editor and find the option to hide the element on the bottom side of the right panel. Tick the box 'Hide this element' and/or 'Hide complete row' to disable the view of this element. Once you have hidden the element, the element will appear transparent in your project. This will indicate that the element is now hidden. To undo this, tick the boxes so that the feature will be inactive again.
Displaying a hidden element in the editor
While you are in the editor, go to the Options drop-down located in the top-right of the menu. A drop-down will appear with various options to choose from. Select Hide/display element. Once you have done this you will then see the elements you have hidden, but they appear in a lower opacity, this indicates that these elements were hidden by the user.
You can also make a specific element become visible again by clicking the hidden elements icon on the bottom of the left panel. The orange circle will indicate with a number of how many elements are hidden within the current page of the project.
