Start by going into the Settings tab in the Maglr dashboard. This tab allows you to alter many settings to do with the dashboard, publications, and the editors.
From the settings tab, on the left side, under the general listing, click on the Categories option. This area allows you to create categories which can be used to further organize the publications you have created.
From here you will want to click the green Add New Category button. This will then reveal a popup, where you can input a new category.
Fill in these fields as best as possible to produce the best capability from categories. The Field Positioning allows you to order these categories from top to bottom, 0 is the highest and 1 being ordered just underneath and then 2 underneath that. Once you have finished with the fields, be sure to hit the green Save Settings button at the bottom left of the interface.
Moving Publication into Categories
Once you have created your categories, click the Publications link at the top of the dashboard. From here we are going to organize the publications into their respective categories.
From here, click Edit on the publication that you would like to add into the category you have created. We are now going to be editing each publications settings so that we can place them into different categories so we can view them much easier.
Now, click the Publication Settings link on the left side, under the publication thumbnail. This interface will allow us to organize the publication into the new categories we have created.
The interface that appears will be titled Publication Settings. On the right side of this interface, you will see a Categories field, now listed with the new categories you created back in the settings menu of the dashboard. Simply click on the category which you see the publication fitting into and remember to click the green Save button in the bottom right of this interface.
Return back to the Publications tab on the dashboard, and you will notice on the left side, you will be able to see your list of categories. Selecting these categories will now display the publication you have entered into this category.
This function allows the user to be able to organize their publications into different categories for how they see fit, giving a clear vision of each publication and nice workflow.
