In order to use the Maglr Presenter app, you need to be a valid Maglr user. The type of user depends on how your organisation is using the presentations. Is there one account for the whole organisation? Or are there separate personal user accounts that are creating custom personal presentations?
Creating a new user
If your account has the admin rights for the dashboard you are able to add new users. You can find this panel under Settings -> Users. When adding a new user profile, you can choose from preset profiles, giving a user more or less user rights inside the dashboard.
In case you need a user for only downloading offline content in the apps, de-activate all of the tick boxes and only grant access to the 'Present' functionality. With this account, the user can log in in both types of apps. He is also able to login to the dashboard but will only see the page explaining how to download the 'Presenter apps'.
Note: The amount of users is limited to a specific number based on your license type. We are currently working on an option to add 'free presenter' users. These users only have access to the App without any editing rights. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you need an in-between solution for multiple separate user accounts within your organisation.
Different ways to login as a (restricted) user
- Global presentations for all users
The presentations in the App are the same for all users. In this scenario, it's not necessary to create unique accounts. From the Maglr dashboard, a single user can be created - for example with the following email address email@example.com. This user account can be shared across the organisation where everyone is able to use the App and download the content. Multiple persons can log in at the same time with this account (in the apps).
In case your organisation would like to create separate user logins it's possible to add these through the user module (see description above). Keep in mind to grant these users limited access by only choosing the 'Presenter' option in the user right settings. When these users access the dashboard, they will only see the page with the instructions to download the app.
- Custom user presentations
When users are creating personal presentations they need a separate personal login account for the Maglr dashboard. With this login, they are able to create new projects in their personal dashboard (optionally combined with main presentations that are shared by Marketing). These types of users need to log in with their personal credentials in the App to download the presentations they have created. Read more about categories & rights in the Apps
- Single Sign-On integration
For Enterprise organisations, we offer the option to connect with their corporate SSO, (i.e. Microsoft). This will allow users to log in easily with their own personal corporate user login. The admin can decide if a user is only able to see global content, or has extra access to the dashboard for creating personal presentations. Using SSO will take away the need to create separate login accounts manually in our dashboard. Now it automatically withdraws a login account when an employee leaves the company. More info about SSO.
