With the Export .zip function, a user can download a specific publication to then be used offline or as a portable solution for when you are not at your computer. This function allows the publication to be uploaded elsewhere or be stored onto a storage device to then be presented anywhere.
From the dashboard, go to the publications link at the top of the dashboard. This will load all the publications that have been created.
Then, click the edit button a publication you want to download. You will be directed to the publication edit screen, where many settings can be changed.
From here, click the Share Publication link located on the left of the screen. This will then open a window that has multiple different functions for sharing your publication with other people.
In this window, click the Export .zip link on the left of this window, it will open the necessary settings/options to downloading your publication. In the field "How do you want to use the content?" select the option "Version so share on your web server (dynamic loading)". Once you have selected the option, click the green Generate button at the button right of this window, you will notice the button changes to orange and says Generating... Wait for this to finish and the button will now be green and say Download. Click the button and you will receive a .Zip file format in your downloads location.
You will need a form of zip unpackaging program, Windows computers typically have one by default which then you can right-click this zip file and unzip its content. You will see many different files and folders, these files and folders are the very contents and working files for your publication to function offline.
You will notice there is a message in a green box stating some information, basically telling you that this function is specifically designed for Pro Pages, Other Pages such as Template Pages are specifically filtered out due to incompatibility reasons.
