Content gate with pro page

With a Pro content gate you are, just like the standard variant, able to place a form over the publication. If you have additional information or campaign material that you want to show next to the form, you can do so via a separate micro content project. The Pro content gate allows you to design a page in the Pro editor that is superimposed on the publication, together with the form. This can be a transparent fullscreen page or scrolling long read. Like the form option, you can still determine the way and when the overlay is displayed.

Create a single project with micro content

Before this content gate can be set, a Pro page must be designed in a separate project. This does not work in the same project, since you may want to apply this Pro content gate for multiple projects. Create a new project and choose the micro content publication type. These are standalone projects consisting of single pages that do not have any surrounding navigation interface.

Create a Pro page with a form

Add a new page and choose fullscreen or longread Pro page. You can now design your own overlay in the Pro editor. Create a form with the form module or integrate an existing one with Pardot, Hubspot, Marketo or MailChimp. Click here for more information about the forms module.

Note: by default, a Pro page has a colored background (mostly white). The page you design here overlays an existing publication, which would preferably contain a transparent background.

Don't forget the mobile version

When you have finished setting up the desktop version, you would want to format the mobile version. Do not forget to add the form here!

Choose the Pro page as the content gate

To set this content gate, go to the project and select project settings. Activate the content gate and choose the second option here. Via the dropdown, choose the project and the corresponding page that you want to set as your content gate.

Note: be aware that you can only select active projects for a Pro content gate. Also, note that the page must contain a form. This is not checked in this selection.

Continue to set the Pro content gate

A Pro page with a form is placed on top of a publication in a so-called overlay. To display this overlay, choose:

On which page the overlay should appear. This can be directly on page one, or any other page of the publication.
After how many seconds the overlay should be displayed. This can be immediate or after a couple of seconds on that specific page.
The background color of the overlay can be seen around the form. Make sure that you show some transparency when selecting this color. You can set the background of the form itself within the forms module.
Enabling the close button. This allows your visitors to close the form without having to register. You can choose the color of this button yourself, depending on the underlying surface.

Skip gate URL

If you want to share this project with your already known viewers, you do not need to ask them to register again. We offer a separate skip gate URL for every content gate you create for a project. If a viewer opens this URL, we immediately place a cookie so that the content gate (for the relevant computer, tablet or mobile device) is no longer activated.
