Downloading your project as a PDF (Pro only)
A Maglr publication is an interactive web document that lives on a url. Therefore, it’s format is not directly translatable to a PDF if you consider that it can contain elements like multimedia, animations, pop ups, forms, and so on. Similarly, you would not save a website as a PDF.
For Pro pages, we were able to create a solution that (to an extent) can convert your Maglr publication to a static PDF export. Essentially, the system takes screenshots of your publication and combines these into a PDF document.
Warning: Block pages can not be turned into a PDF.
There are some very important considerations when using the PDF export option for your publication. Please read the following carefully:
Any elements that are not immediately visible in your publication, will not be visible in your PDF export (i.e. elements that would normally animate into the page)
Groups or layers that are invisible by default do not appear in the PDF (i.e. pop ups)
If a page contains a scene of the type ‘longpage', it is converted as one long PDF with all scenes below each other
If the page consists of full screen scenes, they are converted as separate PDF pages in A4 landscape format
Go into the project that you want to export as a PDF
Make sure your project is published to the latest version (or changes will not be visible)
Note: Your project does not need to be active in order to download a PDF version.
Click on ‘Share project’ and go to the ‘Download PDF’ tab
Click the ‘Convert to PDF’ button and wait for the document to be converted
Click the 'Download PDF' button to download your document
