Add an additional environment

Every Maglr subscription includes one navigation environment, and you can buy extra navigation environments on top of it from Settings > Subscription in the dashboard. Within each navigation environment you can publish an unlimited number of projects.

A navigation environment is the interface surrounding your published projects: the navigation, the overview page and the side menu, with its own domain names and styling. Add an extra navigation environment when you want projects to have a different domain or design, for example to keep staff magazines separate from an annual report. Buying an extra navigation environment

Extra navigation environments are available on both monthly and annual subscriptions. To buy one:

1. In the dashboard, go to Settings > Subscription.
2. Click Edit subscription.
3. Under Additional environments, raise the number in the Additional environment field by the number of environments you want to add. The field already shows how many extra environments you have, and "Interfaces within subscription" shows how many are included in your subscription.

4. Check the amount next to "Additional costs", then click Continue to payment.
5. Check your billing details and click Go to order page.
6. Review the costs. On an annual subscription, choose a payment method under "Payment method for annual costs": by credit card through Adyen, or by invoice.
7. Tick the agreement checkboxes.
8. Click Continue to payment. If you pay by card, complete the payment in the payment screen that opens.

You can also reach the same edit page from Settings > Navigation environment by clicking Upgrade license, which opens it in a new tab.

On a Maglr Enterprise subscription, the edit page shows "Contact sales for more information" instead of the payment button. Contact Maglr to add navigation environments to an Enterprise subscription.

Creating the new navigation environment

After you buy an extra navigation environment, it shows as available on the Navigation environment page, where you create it:

1. In the dashboard, go to Settings > Navigation environment.
2. Click Add environment.
3. Enter a name under Name of new interface.
4. To copy the settings of an existing navigation environment, select Clone of: followed by its name. To start from scratch, leave Do not copy, create new interface selected.
5. Click Create interface.

The Navigation environment page shows how many more navigation environments you can create.

How billing works when you add a navigation environment

When you add a navigation environment, a new subscription period starts on the day of your order. This works the same way for monthly and annual subscriptions:

• What you already paid for the rest of your current period is deducted from the new total. The order screen shows this deduction as "Previous paid in subscription".
• You pay the difference when you place the order. On an annual subscription you can choose to pay it by invoice within 30 days instead. You receive a confirmation by email with the invoice, or with payment instructions if you chose to pay by invoice.
• From then on, the new total is charged every month or every year, depending on your subscription.

The "Complete your order" screen shows the exact amounts before you pay.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove an extra navigation environment?

You can't lower the number of extra navigation environments in the dashboard. To reduce the number of navigation environments in your subscription, contact Maglr.

Why is the Add environment button greyed out?

The Add environment button on Settings > Navigation environment is greyed out when all the navigation environments in your subscription are in use. To create another one, first buy an extra navigation environment through Settings > Subscription > Edit subscription. If your Subscription page shows "Annual manual billing", or you're on a Maglr Enterprise subscription, contact Maglr to add a navigation environment.

Why do I pay more than the price of one navigation environment?

Adding a navigation environment starts a new subscription period on the day of your order. You pay the full new total for that period, minus what you already paid for the rest of your current period. The "Complete your order" screen shows the exact amounts before you pay.
