Start iFrame scrolling into view (Plugin)

To make an embedded page start only when visitors scroll to it, embed the page with Automatic format (inject). This embed type waits until the page enters the visitor's screen before it starts, so timed animations don't play before anyone can see them. You don't need to add an extra script to your website.


Starting an embedded page when it scrolls into view


The Automatic format (inject) embed starts a Maglr page as soon as any part of it scrolls into the visitor's screen. Use it when a page with timed animations sits further down a long web page.


The project must be active and published, and must not be protected by a password or login. Otherwise the Embed code tab is not available.


To embed a page with Automatic format (inject):


  1. Open your project in the dashboard and click Share project in the sidebar.
  2. Go to the Embed code tab.
  3. Under "Choose a page or project", select One specific page from this project.
  4. Select the page you want to embed.
  5. Under "Choose an embed type", select Automatic format (inject).
  6. If the Generate embed code button appears, click it.
  7. Click Copy to copy the embed code.
  8. Paste the code into your website where the page should appear.


Automatic format (inject) is available only when you embed one specific page. It is not offered for Block pages or for embedding the complete project.


Animation start in iframe embeds


Iframe embeds start playing as soon as they load, even when they are further down the web page and not yet on screen. This applies to the Automatic format (iframe) and Fixed format (manual) embed types. There is no setting or script to delay the start of an iframe embed until it is visible.


For pages with timed or scroll animations, use Automatic format (inject) instead. Block pages can only be embedded as an iframe, so their animations start when the embed loads.

Where do I get the scroll plugin script (scroll.min.js)?


The scroll plugin script is no longer available, and its URL no longer loads a working script. Remove it from your website if you added it. To start an embedded page only when it scrolls into view, embed the page with Automatic format (inject) in the Embed code tab under Share project. This embed type is available for single pages, except Block pages.


Can I delay the start of an iframe embed until it is visible?


No. Iframe embeds, such as Automatic format (iframe) and Fixed format (manual), start as soon as they load. Embed the page with Automatic format (inject) instead; that embed type starts the page only when it scrolls into the visitor's screen. It is not available for Block pages.
