Connect your Sitemap to Google Search Console

All domains you connect to Maglr will automatically receive a sitemap that contains all of the projects published to it. This sitemap can be connected to search engines, so these systems can understand the structure of your domain.

Finding your sitemap

You can retrieve your domain's sitemap by visiting the following url via your domain: publications.companyname.com /sitemap.xml

Note: you can only do this for your own (custom) domain. For default (company.maglr.com for example) domains, this isn't possible.

When navigating to this site, you will see the sitemap connected to this domain. You can now manually connect this to a search engine via the steps below. We use Google's Search Console as an example here.

Connect your sitemap to Google Search Console

Sign in to Google Search Console.
In the sidebar on the left, select your domain or click '+ add property' to connect a new one.

Now, click Sitemaps.

Enter sitemap.xml in the Add a new sitemap field (for Site property), or add publications.company.com/sitemap.xml (for Domain property).

Click submit

You have now successfully submitted your sitemap to Google's Search Console! It could take a while for changes to take effect.
