Enable Two-Factor Authentication for your account

Two-Factor Authentication adds a third layer of security to your account. Besides logging in with an e-mail address and password, you'll be asked to enter a code you can find in either the Google- or Microsoft Authenticator apps on your smartphone. Only when entering the correct code (which refreshes every 30 seconds), you'll be successfully logged into Maglr.

When enforced by your Maglr admin

When 2FA has been enforced by your Maglr admin, you'll be asked to set this up when logging in to Maglr. Click Set up now to set up 2FA for your Maglr account. We will now show a QR-code, which you need to scan with either the Google- or Microsoft Authenticator apps.

Microsoft Authenticator

Tap the +-icon in the top right of the authenticator app to connect a new account.
In the 'Add account' screen, tap Other (Google, Facebook, etc.).

The app now opens your camera, asking you to scan the QR-code that Maglr is showing. After succesfully scanning the code, you will automatically be taken back to the account overview in your Microsoft Authenticator app.
You will now see an app called 'Maglr', showing a code that refreshes every 30 seconds.

Google Authenticator

Tap the +-icon in the bottom right of the authenticator app to connect a new account. Tap Scan a QR code to open your devices' camera and to scan the QR-code that Maglr is showing.

Continue in Maglr

Paste the code that's displayed by the Authenticator app into the field in Maglr and click continue to successfully set up 2FA for your Maglr account.

You will now see 8 recovery codes, which you can use to login with once you lose access to your Authenticator app. These codes are shown only once, so be sure to write them down and store them in a safe place!

Enable 2FA manually

When your organisation doesn't enforce 2FA, you can enable it yourself as well. This can be done via your profile settings in Maglr, where you can choose to enable either 2FA or SSO. Click Enable to start setting up Two-Factor Authentication for your personal Maglr account.

Disable 2FA

Disabling 2FA can be done via your profile settings in Maglr. Simpy click Disable to succesfully disable 2FA. If Two-Factor Authentication is enforced by your Maglr admin, you will be asked to set it up again the next time you log in.
