Track embed events with GTM (inside your website)
With Maglr, it is possible to embed separate pages or complete publications into your corporate website.
When using a Maglr page or publication as embed, regular tracking (through our global statistics or custom GTM / analytics code) will still work. The pageviews will be different, because the publication is running on a different iFrame domain (embed.maglr.com/[CODE]). The code inside this URL is unique per embed, and all interaction events are attached to that specific URL. Click here to read more about these statistics.
By default, we do push all important events happening inside the embed (iFrame) to the parent website GTM Datalayer (when available). When you are using Maglr embeds inside your corporate website, you can extract these events from this Datalayer.
Any Maglr events sent out from these embeds can be forwarded to Analytics using your own websites URL. Within Analytics, you can directly see the Maglr events attached to your own websites parent page URL. Click here to learn how to connect Google Tag Manager with this datalayer.
Note: this functionality only works with single page embeds using the JavaScript assets next to the iFrame.
