Once you have created and shared your publication, you obviously want to know how it is performing in terms of visited pages, time per session and interactions. It's nice to know how many people have visited your publication and how long they were visiting it, or which pages were the most popular. All this information can be viewed if you add your Google Analytics code via the navigation environment settings in our dashboard.
Go to the navigation environment settings and edit your current environment via the pencil icon. Click on the analytics tab and you will see a box in which you can paste your Google Analytics Tracking Code (GA-Code, i.e. UA-000000-2). On this page, you can also choose if you want your publications to be indexed in Google's Search Console by flicking the switch on or off.
When you have added your GA-Code, all new data coming in will automatically be sent to your Google Analytics account. You will also still be able to view your project statistics from within the Maglr dashboard. You will find your publication's statistics
under the statistics
button on the left side of the screen when you find yourself in a project's page overview
IMPORTANT! Google Analytics 4 uses a G-ID instead of a Tracking ID. Maglr unfortunately does not support this G-ID yet. However, it is still possible to get a Tracking ID running next to your G-ID. Click here to see how you can do this.
Find your Google Analytics ID
To find the Google Analytics ID:
NOTE: The tracking ID is a string like UA-000000-2. It must be included in your tracking code to tell Analytics which account and property to send data to.
- Sign in to your Analytics account.
- Click Admin.
- Select an account from the menu in the ACCOUNT column.
- Select a property from the menu in the PROPERTY column.
- Under PROPERTY, click Tracking Info > Tracking Code. Your Tracking ID is displayed at the top of the page.
