Embed a Pardot form
In Maglr, you have the ability to place forms in your publications. This can be done in multiple ways, as you can embed created forms in external tools like Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot and MailChimp. In addition to this, you can also directly create forms in Maglr from inside both the Block or Pro editor. The forms element works similarly for both of these editors. In this example, the Pro editor will be used.
In order to embed this type of form in your Maglr publication, simply create and design your form in Pardot first. Then navigate to this form in Pardot and copy the link shown here:
To start creating or embedding a form, start by opening the specific page you would like to edit the form to in the editor. As stated before, this can be either the Block or Pro editor. Click the + add button in the top left of the editor to add a new element, and choose the form element.
Drag the element onto your page, and in the menu on the right you will now see a choose / edit form option appear. When clicking this, a window will open with (if done before) all of your existing forms. Select or edit an existing form, or create a new one by clicking the + new form button in the top right. Here you can choose to embed an existing form from another source, or create an entirely new form directly in Maglr. Click the embed an existing form option here.
In the menu on the right, provide a name for your form and select the platform you have used to create your form; select Pardot here. Next, simply paste your Pardot form's link url here and you will directy see your form appearing on the left side of the screen.
Optionally, set a 'Redirect URL' to redirect your viewers to a specific URL when clicking submit in the form here. Then click save form in order to save your Pardot form in Maglr.
You will now be redirected back to Maglr's Forms overview. Select the form you have just created here by clicking select form, or edit it via the icons next to this button. Now you will be directed back to the editor, in which you will see your form appearing right away.
You have now succesfully placed a Pardot form in your Maglr publication!
In order to succesfully use your Pardot form as a content gate, a specific code needs to be added to the 'form success page' in Pardot. This sends a signal to Maglr, confirming the succesfull completion of the form. This signal closes the content gate's overlay and allows your viewer to continue through the remainder of the publication.
Please paste the following code in your Pardot's form success page to use it as a content gate.
If it's impossible to apply this script, you can also use the following 'Redirect URL' via the Maglr form settings: https://forms.maglr.com/confirm
