Move projects to a different category
It is possible to categorise your projects and move them to these categories anytime you want. In this article, we will tell you how.
When you're in our Maglr dashboard, go to Settings on the top bar menu and hover over and click Categories in the dropdown that will appear. You will be directed to the Categories Settings of your Maglr Account. Here you can divide projects into multiple categories to make the dashboard more organized, to grant users specific rights to a group of projects or to make it easier for users to choose in the navigation environment. Click on the Add category button to open a popup with an input field and a few choice options.
In the first field you can fill in the name of the category. This name will appear in the dashboard whether you would like to start a new project or add or move publications to a different category.
The next option is to choose which rights this category allows user to view or edit:
Public - all users can access and edit containing projects
Read Only - projects can be viewed but not edited
Private - projects are hidden for all regular users
Shared - grant access to specific users
Here is where you choose to add the new category to the existing publication types: Publications, Campaign pages, Websites, Offers, Printable Publications. These publication types are available depending on your Maglr license.
Determine the visual position of the new category by sliding the bar horizontally from 0-50. 0 is at the top and 50 is at the bottom of the categories list.
Set your new category to 'Active' in order to be able to view it in the frontend interface once you have saved the settings and pressed Save. At any time it is possible to re- or de-activate your category by editing it from the Category Settings.
When you are in the project page overview, click the Project Settings link on the left side, under the project's thumbnail. A popup menu will open in the Basic information tab.
On the right side of this menu, you will see a Categories drop-down menu. You can click on multiple categories so that a project can appear in more than one category. Make sure you save the changes you have made by pressing Save before you leave the popup.
