Checklist before publishing

Before publishing your first project, there are some things you would want to check and/or consider. These include background settings like SEO options or a cookie consent, but can also include the surrounding navigation environment & its side menu.

Be sure to run through the following checklists before publishing your project live.

For each project

Check links/click actions: do all click actions work as they should? Do all links direct the viewer to the correct website? Be sure to publish your project for preview to be able to test all links in your project. Click here for more information about publishing your project for preview.
Check media: check if all images, and especially video's, are displayed correctly in the published preview version of your publication.

Tip: if you have enabled autoplay for any video's, be sure to activate a 'cookie consent' for your navigation environment. Click here for more information about video's in Maglr.

Check mobile version: do all of the pages of your publication show correctly on mobile? Do all interactive elements work? Do all elements scale correctly? For more information about the mobile version, click here (Block editor) or click here (Pro editor).
Check loading speed: how long does it take for each page to load? It could take a long time to load your pages when there is a lot of content in your publication. Click here to see what you can do to speed up loading times.
Check SEO / social share metadata: if your publication can be found through search engines or shared via social media, be sure to check the SEO / social share metadata that can be applied to either your project, its pages, or the surrounding navigation environment. Check security: do you need to secure your project? Be sure to set up your security options in Maglr before going live. Click here for more information about security options in Maglr.

Tip: do you need to secure all projects on a domain? Secure the entire domain by editing its settings.

Check domain/category: will your project be published to the correct domain? Is your project placed in the right category? Click here for more information about connecting categories to domains.

Tip: connect your categories to specific domains, so your project will automatically be published to the correct domain when placing it in a category.

For first time publication

Check cookie consent: do you want to enable custom statistics? Do you want your video's to play automatically? If so, you would need to enable a cookie consent in your navigation environment's settings. This consent will then be displayed across all publications connected to this environment. Check analytics options: do you want to see how your publication is performing? Be sure to enable Maglr statistics, or to connect your own Google Analytics or Tag Manager environments. Click here for more information about your Maglr statistics.
Check navigation menu: make sure that the navigation menu surrounding your publications contains your desired colours & style. This can be set in your navigation environment's settings. Click here for more information about the navigation environment.
Check side menu: check the contents & panels of the side menu to see if they contain the correct information. This can be set in your navigation environment's settings. Click here for more information about texts in your navigation environment.
