Format Maglr allows users to upload and work with several different formats of images in our editors, although some work better in situations compared to others. Below is a list of these formats and their uses: JPEG: For regular photography and images that you have found or downloaded online. Could be an image taken from a camera, or an image found on the internet such as a background image. Format When using videos in Maglr, we usually only recommend one format of video to use. We recommend using the MP4 format for videos. This format allows for flexibility in settings of quality, but also maintains a good file size for usage in many situations. MP4 is universally used for many applications. If you have created a video, even platforms such as YouTube recommend it when uploading videos, allowing the easy integration. Format The only format we recommend using is MP3. MP3 by default -when you're downloading or rendering- has good file sizes and audio quality for listening. Almost every audio file you come across the internet or device is typically in an MP3 format, even in videos. Bitrate Bitrate is similar to the data rate in videos. It is how much data is being stored for the audio every second it is recording. It is possible to add several different types of code into your project: HTML: For embedding content, such as a website, that shows different elements based on what is placed inside the HTML, such as titles, texts, and tables. There are many different font file formats, new and old. Older formats origin from older computer systems such as Mac OS Classic and Linux. Most people use fonts files that are accustomed to Windows and Mac OS. The formats below are recommended when you want to upload your own fonts to use in our editor: TrueType/TTF: This format is specifically for Windows users, but can also be used by Mac users. It is the most commonly used font file type and is known for its flexibility and all-roundPopularReducing video file size
Large video files are slow to upload and download. The maximum size for a video upload in the Maglr library is 50MBs. One of the most popular tools that can significantly shrink the file size without losing quality is HandBrake. Handbrake HandBrake is a free and open-source transcoder for digital video files and is available for Linux, macOS, and Windows. You can use any YouTube or Vimeo link, as long as the owner of the video has enabled the setting for the video embed link. You can then take this embed link and paste it into the video element option in our editor. Before you start creating your first project with Maglr, there are a few things to check out in your settings. You will find all the settings by clicking the settings tab at the top of the dashboard. Depending on your license, there are a total of three publication types to choose from. All types of publications and the differences between them are described below. Slide publications are interactive publications with a horizontally oriented page navigation. This type of publication can be used with both the Block and Pro editors and is proved to be a great publication type to create digital magazines, annual reports, presentations or product brochures. Stack publications are interactive publications with a main page to tell your story. This page contains underlying sub-pages that visually stack on top of the main page. This type of publication is only available with a Pro subscription and can be used to create interactive campaigns, presentations or brochures. When you want to start a new project, it is possible to duplicate an existing publication. Sometimes it is more efficient to edit from a copy than to start from a new blank project. Before publishing your first project, there are some things you would want to check and/or consider. These include background settings like SEO options or a cookie consent, but can also include the surrounding navigation environment & its side menu. To see a working interactive version of your created project, you first need to publish it to a ‘Preview URL’. After publishing, you will be able to see all the transitions and effects on and between pages and click on the different interactions you have created on each page. When your project is ready to become publicly available, click the blue ‘Publish’-button in the top right of the ‘Page Overview’. You will see a greyed-out ‘Publish live’-button, which can be enabled by setting the project to ‘Active’. Click the switch below this button to set it active and then click ‘Publish live’ in order to make your project available to share publicly. It will then be available via the domain URL you have set. When you are using our Maglr software, you are able to use both Template and Pro pages within a single project, depending on your licence. But there are a few things to know beforehand when you are using these mixed pages. Change project language
Projects can be published into multiple languages. The purpose of this is to (automatically) guide viewers to the correct language of your publications, either through search engines or manually from the overview page. This will also display the correct language in the side menu of your publications. To be able to create a project in a certain language, you first need to set your languages in the language settings in the dashboard. Working with templates in Maglr can save precious time and provides content that’s laid out in the company’s color scheme, fonts, layouts, buttons, icons and other assets. This option can help businesses with multiple users working with the Maglr platform. The main account is able to configure these template projects, where employees are able to choose these when creating a new project or adding a new page. Project Settings Click the project settings on the left side of the page overview (below the thumbnail of the publication). From here you can edit the project itself when it comes to for example basic information, security, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and sharing settings. It is possible to categorise your projects and move them to these categories anytime you want. In this article, we will tell you how. When you create and publish a publication, our Maglr platform automatically creates paths in the URL for every page of that publication. Before the latest update, these URLs would contain a numeric string. But with the new update, we will now generate a more SEO-friendly URL that is based on the page title of the publication. Archive project Every now and then you want to clean up your dashboard without having to delete a project and lose all of its data. In that case, you are able to move your projects to the archive. Without deleting the project and its data, it is still available in the Archived section of the categories list. To archive a project you need to go to the Project settings from the project page overview. You can always undo this by unselecting this option from the Archived section. The order of the projects is determined by the date they are created, showing them from newest (top left) to the oldest (bottom right). We use the project date to arrange the projects. Changing the title of a page

You can also click on the settings icon next to a page to open the page settings. In the page settings, there is an input field where you can change the title of the page.Few readersRestore a back-up of the page
Whenever you click the save button to save the current page you are working on, Maglr automatically saves the current state of this page as a backup for future purposes when you want to restore a previous save. In the editor, mouse over the options drop-down menu located at the top right of the editor. In the page overview of a project, you can easily adjust the order of the pages of a project. Arrow icons The first option is to change the order by clicking the arrow icons at the right side of a specific page to move the page up or down. When you are done with rearranging the pages, publish your project to save the changes. Separate pages of your project can be set inactive via the page settings. Move your mouse over a page that you would like to hide, and go to the page settings. Here you will see a switch called Set page active/inactive. After performing this action, the specific pages you have set to hide will then become faded, indicating they are hidden. In the overview of the pages of your project, move your mouse over the Duplicate Page icon on the desired page you would like to duplicate. This icon looks like two pages/documents, standing behind each other. Clicking this icon will duplicate that page to the bottom of the page list. The duplicated page will maintain all the elements, settings and name of the original page. There are two ways to move one or more specific pages from one publication to another. We will explain both options in this article. Duplicating a page in a project From the Projects tab, choose the project where you want to add the existing page. Open the project and in the page overview, click the Add page button in the top right of the dashboard. Then click Duplicate page. This feature is used for when you want to use the exact same page in another project and both projects need to be simultaneously updated when changes are made. Go to the project where you would like to add an existing page from another project. In the page overview, click the Add page button and choose Linked Page. Add a form to your project
In Maglr, you have the ability to place forms in your publications. This can be done in multiple ways, as you can embed created forms in external tools like Pardot, Marketo, Hubspot and MailChimp. In addition to this, you can also directly create forms in Maglr from inside both the Block or Pro editor. The forms element works similarly for both of these editors.
