General settings
In order to properly configure your Maglr environment, there are some general settings to go through. This involves project rights & security, available languages and the ability to show or hide default Maglr templates. To configure these settings, go to the General settings tab via Settings in the navigation bar at the top of the Maglr dashboard. Setting up an environment in Maglr can prove to be quite complex. It (ideally) involves a Navigation Environment, domain names and categories. This way, you can always connect your publications to the right navigation interface and domain name, in order to always have the best possible outcome for your publications. Setting up We start with the navigation environment. Here you can set up and design a complete environment in which your publications will be published. From the Maglr dashboard, go to the Settings tab. This area allows the user the change many different settings for the Maglr dashboard, editors and publications. Once in the settings tab, click the 'General settings' icon under General. This will direct you to a new page with a list of different languages with tick boxes next to them. When creating a project in Maglr, we want to give you the full ability to choose which fonts you would like to use. In addition to the standard fonts, it is also possible to add additional fonts to your projects. This can be done by choosing fonts from the Google Fonts library or even upload custom fonts that you have created or purchased. Creating a colour style A good color style is the starting point of every new project. By configuring this before creating your first project, it will take less time to make publications that match your desired corporate identity or color scheme. The navigation environment
A navigation environment surrounds your publications. This environment makes it possible for viewers to navigate through the pages or enable a side menu with more information about you or your company. Each license contains one navigation environment, which can be completely configured to your specific needs. There are a lot of settings you can configure inside your navigation environment. In the navigation environment, you can choose between different navigation types to use for navigation through publications. You can set navigation types for both slide and stack publications, in addition to (if purchased) the presenter apps. In order to make it match with your (company's) color style, you can change the colours of the navigation environment. Edit your navigation environment settings via the pencil icon and go to the colours & fonts tab. Here you can change all used colours and fonts within the navigation environment, from the side menu to the overview section. For each part of the navigation environment, you can set a specific text to display. By going to navigation environment under settings in the dashboard and selecting the pencil icon, you can see the texts tab in the window that pops up. Here you can set up your messages to display for each language within the environment. Things could change a bit when you are making adjustments to the dashboard settings, add external embeds or use third-party tools like Google Tag Manager. You can offer your readers the option to subscribe in order to receive notifications about future updates of your publications. They can subscribe via the subscribe tab in the side menu when they are viewing your publication, but you can also activate a call-to-action for your viewers to perform this action. This is an ideal way to build an audience and update them about your new publications. The navigation help tip is a small, interactive, textual hint for your publications. These present clarifications for your viewers, explaining them how they can navigate through the publication and interact with it. You can activate and customise this tip through the settings of your navigation environment. To activate the help tip, click the pencil icon next to your navigation environment under settings in the dashboard. Since your publications are published online and publicly available, they are picked up by search engines. This means that your viewers can also search for your publications through search engines like Google or Bing. You can turn off this feature by editing your navigation interface via the pencil icon. Domain names
Setting up a domain
Domain names are used to publish your projects to, in order to be able to view them online. You can add multiple domain names and set up each of them to display specific projects. Publications on this domain are accessible via a registered component of the URL. For example: https://publications.maglr.com/projectname/pagename In the example above, 'publications' is called a subdomain where 'maglr.com' is the domain name. You can set up which publications should be shown on each domain via the domain filters. You can apply domain filters via the pencil icon next to each domain name under the domain names section in the dashboard settings. Maglr publications can be published and viewed on a custom domain of your chosen host or provider. A custom domain will still allow you to select filters and organise your publications on that domain. Users, Categories & Teams
Add & edit user profiles
From this menu, you can manage who has access to the Maglr dashboard. This section shows a list of all users of the dashboard. You can add or edit users and change their user rights. Depending on your license, you have a limited amount of users you can register. Starting from the dashboard, go to Users via your Settings tab and click the green button to add or edit a user profile. Categories are mainly used to divide your projects into multiple folders, in order to maintain an overview of all your projects. However, categories can also be used to easily publish specific projects to the right domains. Click here to see how you can do this. Enterprise accounts now have the ability to create multiple teams with assigned admin and user rights to manage workflow and content efficiency. This is especially useful for bigger companies with a lot of Maglr users that work across multiple departments, locations and/or countries. In Maglr, accounts can divide their environments and users into Teams in order to separate what users are allowed to see and which projects they can edit. You can grant specific users access to your publications via the project settings. When you have multiple users working in the same Maglr environment, you can assign projects to and with other users. This functionality is used when other users have limited user rights, but are allowed to edit a specific project. Account security
Enable additional security for all users
To further secure your Maglr environment as an administrator, it's possible to force the users in your environment to enable an additional layer of security when logging in to the platform. This can either be forced upon all users simultaneously, or enabled per user separately. Securing your Maglr environment There are two available layers of security to enable in Maglr. Two-Factor Authentication adds a third layer of security to your account. Besides logging in with an e-mail address and password, you'll be asked to enter a code you can find in either the Google- or Microsoft Authenticator apps on your smartphone. Only when entering the correct code (which refreshes every 30 seconds), you'll be successfully logged into Maglr. Single Sign-on (SSO) is the perfect method for authentication, where your already existing login details can be used to log in to several different applications. This is especially useful in a corporate setting, allowing you to use your already existing Microsoft or Google account to log in to Maglr. SSO helps you and your organisation to centrally manage login credentials and enforce restrictions across multiple applications, like Two-Factor Authentication and password strength.Few readers

Configure cookie consent through GTM
When you're looking to activate external trackers & scripts in your Maglr publications, a cookie consent is often required. Through Google Tag Manager you can 'listen' and activate Tags based on this consent status. Additionally you can use Maglr's default cookie consent, or use third-party consent managers to add your own custom cookie consent to Maglr. Once you have created and shared your publication, you obviously want to know how it is performing in terms of visited pages, time per session and interactions. It's nice to know how many people have visited your publication and how long they were visiting it, or which pages were the most popular. All domains you connect to Maglr will automatically receive a sitemap that contains all of the projects published to it. This sitemap can be connected to search engines, so these systems can understand the structure of your domain. Enterprise security options
Enterprise SSO integration
Within the Enterprise licence of Maglr, it is possible to secure a publication or complete domain. With the standard options, we offer security based on a password or secured link. With this secured link, you get direct access to a publication. These security methods work but are not always the best approach when you are sharing content with a bigger audience. If someone grabs hold of the password or secret link, everyone has direct access to the content. CliFew readersIP security & access to Maglr
IP security can be a simple solution if you desire that publications can only be viewed as a means of internal communications. Maglr can grant access to (multiple) fixed IP addresses. Meaning, only users at a specific IP address (or logged in via a corporate VPN) have access to the publications of the underlying secured domain.Few readersPersonal auto-login links (REST API)
The standard auto-login link is available through the dashboard and can be used to share the account with multiple people. The link itself is available for an unlimited period. Only in the case when this URL gets leaked, multiple people could potentially get unauthorized access to the specific content. In case your Enterprise account needs complete control over your published content, we support the option to manually download separate projects from the dashboard as a ZIP-file. These ZIP-files will be compressed per project which you can extract and host on your local server. This option is normally used for back-up purposes. When you are running a live environment however, where projects are continually changing, we can offer a direct synchronisation between our Maglr servers and your local sFew readers
